Simple things
This weekend was very interesting. It was all set to be one big party with some friends and it was, but not how we expected. In the end it became a weekend where we were reminded to focus on the simple things:Going to a movie with my best friend and laughing our asses off.
Going to a cookout and reconnecting with old friends I didn't realize I missed so much.
Coming to the realization I'm not the same person I was 2 years ago.
Talking over drinks about how we control our own destiny and sometimes sabotage ourselves.
Sitting in the park, people watching, reading a book.
Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to be all things to all people that we forget the little things...the things that ground us....simple things.

However, what about splitting a large slice of yellow cake with tons of icing and sipping on a latte?
